We’re excited to share that our Business Development Manager, Ephraim Byler, was recently featured in the latest “Together Talks” spotlight by Klimson Logistics Solutions. The feature highlights the story behind Westfield Egg Farm, our commitment to supporting family farms, and the values that continue to guide our business more than 60 years after it began.
In the interview, Ephraim shared the history of Westfield Egg Farm as a fourth-generation, family-owned specialty egg packaging company based in New Holland. What started with George Weaver selling eggs locally eventually grew into a company built around partnering with independent family farms throughout Lancaster County and beyond. That partnership-first approach remains at the heart of who we are today.
The feature also explored what makes Westfield unique within the egg industry. Rather than owning the farms and birds ourselves, we work alongside independent farmers who maintain ownership of their farms and operations. This model allows farmers to remain entrepreneurial while giving customers access to high-quality specialty eggs backed by long-term relationships and transparency.
Ephraim also discussed how innovation has always been part of Westfield’s story, from early organic egg programs to today’s growing demand for soy- and corn-free eggs through brands like Utopihen Farms. As consumer interest in ingredient transparency and specialty eggs continues to grow, we remain focused on helping retailers and customers find products that align with their values.
Most importantly, the conversation reflected the values that continue to shape our company: excellence, integrity, family, stewardship, and maintaining a long-term perspective in everything we do.
We’re thankful to the team at Klimson Logistics Solutions for taking the time to share our story and highlight the people behind Westfield Egg Farm.
